College View

Welcome to our College Office!

As you begin your College Process, we will be here to support you every step of the way! Every year, PPA students go on at least one College Trip to explore campus life and hear from students themselves.  Also, we offer an intensive College Counseling program in both the College Office and the classroom.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Student Testimonies

"Take advantage of everything PPA has to offer.  If there is a college trip, go!  When the teachers offer to help you, take the help!" --- Zhi Lin, Class of 2017, attending the University at Buffalo

"Freshman year, I didn't know where Vermont was, but when I visited Senior year, I knew that was my college and that I had to go there!" --- Kristhen Jacquet, Class of 2019, attending the University of Vermont

"When applying to different colleges and universities, the main conflict I experienced was with finding the finances to pay for application fees, visits, and tuition.  Upon entering the fourth floor college office, I was greeted not only by informational fliers talking about how to apply for FAFSA and when to take exams like the SAT and ACT, but also by Ms. Applebaum, who always kept an open ear to hear my concerns...She made sure that I was collecting the right documents, sending them to the right addresses, and calling certain offices to make sure that they had been received. We did this for all 22 colleges/universities to which I applied.  Although I received acceptance from 18 of them---including Temple University and Hunter College---the only acceptance letter that mattered to me was that of SUNY New Paltz. To top that, I also received acceptance into the Educational Opportunity Program.  Without EOP, I wouldn’t have been able to continue my dream of going away for school. With the help of Ms. Applebaum and the magic that she performed in my college application process, she made my dream a reality." ---Dimitra Ramos, Class of 2019, attending SUNY New Paltz
